ARF Reagents

  • ARF Inhibitory Peptide (P-13)
An inhibitor of ARF activity with effects on cholera toxin, in vitro endosome fusion, transport from the ER to Golgi and upon the Golgi itself.
    Katalog #CAS NummerSummenformelMenge
    sc-200866n.n.C85H131N21O211 mg
  • Brefeldin A (BFA)
Blocks the GTP-dependent interaction of ARF with the Golgi membrane and inhibits secretion from the Golgi apparatus.

    sc-20086120350-15-6C16H24O45 mg/25 mg/100 mg
  • Exo1
A compound which disrupts the functions of the Golgi apparatus by causing a fast collapse of the organelle. This compound releases ADP-ribosylation factor 1 from membranes of the Golgi.

  • Golgicide A
A potent, highly specific, reversible inhibitor of the cis-Golgi ArfGEF GBF1. Arf proteins are members of the Ras superfamily of small guanosine triphosphatases (GTPases) that mediate vesicular transport. The Arf activity cycle is initiated by the interaction of Arf1 with guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs), which exchange GDP for GTP. Molecular modeling and mutagenesis revealed that Golgicide A binds within an interfacial cleft formed between Arf1 and the GBF1 Sec7 domain. It is a unique and powerful tool for further elucidating the mechanisms underlying assembly and transport within the Golgi, comparable to the use of dynasore for studying the dynamics of dynamin-mediated clathrin coat formation.

  • Ilimaquinone
A natural marine metabolite shown to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antimitotic properties. Golgi membrane studies reveal that exposure to Ilimaquinone results in the formation of vesiculated Golgi membranes.
